West Virginia University at Parkersburg kicks off fall semester student activities with its popular Backdoor Comedy Club on Friday (Sept. 8) in the campus multi-purpose room.

On stage will be comedians Buzz Sutherland and Bean & Bailey.

Showtime is 8 p.m.; doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Sutherland has performed on hundreds of college campuses across the country. His homespun characters and outrageous facial expressions keep audiences rolling with laughter. He has appeared on HBO’s "Comic Relief," MTV’s Half Hour Comedy Hour," and as the host of Disney/KPLR’s "Kid’s Connection."

Bean & Bailey are no strangers to the college campus. Their infectious humor has no known inoculation.

Tickets are $4 for the general public and $2 in advance for WVU Parkersburg students/staff/faculty.
