Biology Professor Makes National Presentations

Dr. Joseph Faber, assistant professor of biology at West Virginia University at Parkersburg, was featured at the 80th annual meeting of the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists this summer in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

ASIH is the largest professional organization for the study of fish, reptiles and amphibians. During the annual meeting, Dr. Faber made two presentations on his research.

His attendance was partially funded by faculty development awards from the WVU at Parkersburg Foundation, Inc. and the college’s Natural Sciences and Mathematics Division.

Dr. Faber also authored two scientific papers that were presented recently at the 130th annual meeting of the American Fisheries Society in St. Louis. AFS is the largest and oldest professional society of fishery scientists.
