Faculty Member Trains the Trainers in Germany

A West Virginia University at Parkersburg professor is in Germany this month "training the trainers."

Doug Weaver, computer science instructor, is a member of the West Virginia Air National Guard. He was asked by the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) to conduct computer/network training this summer at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany.

His primary responsibility is to train and certify Air Force Cisco Networking Academy instructors so that they can train military personnel for the computer/networking field.

His son Kurt, a student in WVU Parkersburg’s Computer and Information Technology associate degree program, is also a member of the West Virginia Air National Guard. He is working as Weaver's assistant for the Germany training program.
