Jackson County Center Health Fair March 19, 2002
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg’s Jackson County Center will conduct its annual free Health Fair on Tuesday, March 19.
The fair is open to all JCC students, staff, faculty and the community and will be held in the JCC lobby. Fair hours are 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Blood sugar and cholesterol testing will be conducted from 7:30 to 10 a.m. only.
There is no admission charge and no cost for any of the testings or screenings which will include blood sugar, cholesterol (12-hour fasting required), HIV testing, spinal screening, blood pressure checks, body fat and weight screening.
The fair’s participating groups include St. Joseph’s Hospital, Drs. Layne and Myers, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, Deems Family Chiropractic, Domestic Violence Office, Family Resource Network, Jackson Health Department, Jackson County EMS, Mid-Ohio Valley AIDS Task Force, Rural Health Education Partnership, Tech Link and WVU Parkersburg Nursing Department.
