"The Ethical Frontiers of Biomedicine" will be discussed in a free interactive seminar being telecast Tuesday (Oct. 14) to West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The 7:30 p.m. satellite broadcast will feature nationally recognized consultant Dr. Vicki Lachman and will be held in Room 2212. The live seminar is open to the public.
Dr. Lachman is founder and director of V.L. Associates, a firm that provides consultation, training and coaching services to nursing officers and health care organizations. She will address a number of ethical dilemmas that lie on the horizon of the biomedicine industry.
The program is being produced by the college honorary Phi Theta Kappa and the National Collegiate Honors Council. It is the second installment of a five-part series entitled "Dimensions and Directions of Health: Choices in the Maze." Locally, the series is sponsored by Sigma Omega, WVU Parkersburg's PTK chapter.
