FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg is developing a student ambassador
program to give its students the opportunity to be involved in promoting the
institution while gaining valuable skills.
A free information session will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday (June 24) in Room 2536 at the college for WVU Parkersburg students interested in the program.
"The primary duties of our student ambassadors will be to provide campus tours, help with our annual open house, commencements and other college activities," said Violet Mosser, senior admissions counselor.
"But this is also an opportunity for students to enhance their leadership abilities and increase their communication skills," she added.
Student ambassadors must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, be in good financial standing with the college and attended WVU Parkersburg for two consecutive semesters. Those accepted into the ambassador program will receive training this summer and begin their duties in August.
Additional information is available by contacting Mrs. Mosser at 424-8213.
