A free financial aid workshop will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday (Feb. 2) at West Virginia University at Parkersburg as part of a statewide WV Apply Sunday program.

College financial aid representatives will be available to assist college-bound students, including middle school students and their parents, to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form. All financial aid benefits begin with the completion of the FAFSA form and the deadline for this year’s application is March 1.

Information will be available regarding federal, state and institutional assistance programs, types of aid, need based vs. merit based aid and free scholarship searches.

Advance registration is not required; the workshop will be held in the Financial Aid Office.

The session is sponsored by the West Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators with assistance from the West Virginia Library Commission.
