West Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering a number of computer industry certification courses this fall.
The courses are required for the information technology industry’s various certifications, including A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP and Cisco. Fall classes begin August 23.
Among the courses available are: PC Management and Maintenance (A+ Certification Prep), 7-9:45 p.m., Monday-Wednesday; Cisco Networking Academy Semester 1 (CCNA Prep), 7-9:45 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday; Windows Operating System (XP MCP Prep), 4-5:45 p.m., Monday-Wednesday; Windows Operating System (XP MCP Prep), 5:30-7:15 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday; Windows Server Configuration and Administration (W2K MCP Prep), 2-3:45 p.m., Monday-Wednesday; 7:15-9 p.m., Windows Server Configuration and Administration (W2K MCP Prep), 7:15-9 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday; Advanced Routing (CCNP Prep), 9:30-12:15 a.m., Tuesday-Thursday.
WVU Parkersburg offers associate degrees in computer science, data processing, and computer and information technology. Tuition and lab fees for the certification courses range from $283 to $378 for WV residents.
