IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West
Virginia University at Parkersburg is offering a Grantwriting Basics workshop
on the Parkersburg campus as well as its Jackson County Center in Ripley.
The 8:30
a.m. to noon workshop will be held March 2 at WVU Parkersburg and repeated

The workshop
is appropriate as an introduction for a new grant writer and a skill-polisher
for those who have some experience, noted workshop presenter Lisa Collins,
former ARTSBRIDGE director and now president of her own company, Charity
Match. She will include 30 days of e-mail followup with
each registrant to assist with proposals they may be submitting.
The workshop
session will cover the basics of research, documentation, funder
relationships, grant terminology, narratives, budgets and evaluations. Collins
has been awarded millions of dollars in her 17-year career in non-profit
management and now consults and contracts with non-profits on a variety of
issues.
Cost of the class is $55 for the first
registrant from an agency and $45 for each additional participant.
Registration is being accepted at the college's Business, Industry and
Development Services Division, at (304) 424-8275.
