WVU Parkersburg campus to observe fourth anniversary of 9/11.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThe students, faculty and staff of West Virginia University at Parkersburg will observe the fourth anniversary of the Sept. 11th tragedy in quiet remembrance.
A short program will be held at noon on Monday (Sept. 12) in the college's main hallway and will include the ceremonial ringing of the campus bell by the Student Government Association. The program is open to the public.
A memorial will include a list of those who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the airline flights on Sept. 11, 2001. Area residents are invited to visit the link “Reflections” on the college’s main web page (www.wvup.edu) to leave a comment or message.
“It is important that we continue to remember and reflect on the tragedy that is Sept. 11th,” noted WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage.
The college’s Social Science Division has arranged to show several 9/11-related videos on the campus’ in-house circuit television system.cd090605
