Fall Orientation 2005 sessions set

West Virginia University at Parkersburg is planning several Fall Orientation 2005 sessions for new students.

The free program is designed for students new to WVU Parkersburg. Activities are also being offered for parents or guests that attend as well. Orientation is designed to assist students in being successful in pursuing their college education.

A day and evening session is scheduled. Orientation dates at WVU Parkersburg are at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, and 6 p.m., Thursday, August 11. During the August 11th session, Sabina Cave, director of the WVU Parents Club, will be in attendance to talk about parent and family resources. The sessions will be held in the college multi-purpose room.

There will be two orientation sessions held at WVU Parkersburg's Jackson County Center in Ripley at 2 and 6 p.m., Thursday, August 4.

Advanced registration for the sessions is requested and may be accomplished by contacting the college's admissions office, 424-8220.

Fall semester classes begin August 22.
