WVU Parkersburg hosts International Luncheon March 10th

Where can you hear the rhythmic drums of Africa and the mournful bagpipes of Scotland? At West Virginia University at Parkersburg's annual International Luncheon being held Thursday, (March 10), in the college's multi-purpose room.
Free and open to the public, the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. luncheon is designed to give participants an opportunity to sample dishes of various international cuisines made by WVU Parkersburg faculty, staff and students as well as experience the cultures of many countries.
At 11 a.m., the drumming Groove Project will perform followed at 11:30 a.m. by the college's Children's Room; Scottish bagpipes at 11:40 a.m.; a parade of international costumes at noon, and a repeat performance by the Groove Project as well as other international music at 12:30 p.m.
The program is sponsored by the college's Social Justice Committee. Additional information is available by contacting faculty coordinators Joyce Kronberg or Cheryl Robinson at the college.
