FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Summer classes will be in - in the classroom and on the web, beginning June 6 at
West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
WVU Parkersburg is offering three summer terms: an eight-week session and two four-week terms. The eight-week and first four-week sessions begin June 6. The second four-week session gets under way July 5.
"Many students home from other colleges for the summer take advantage of enrolling in one or two classes with us," noted Joseph Badgley, dean of academic affairs. "It's an opportunity for them to earn college credit while home so we have an interesting mix of students on campus during the summer."
In addition to a range of traditional classroom classes, nearly 20 courses will be offered in alternative delivery or electronic format. Alternative delivery courses involve non-traditional instruction for up to 80% of the course content. Typically, no more than five class meetings will be required for each course. Electronic courses involve remote electronic delivery for 100% of the course content with no more than one campus meeting required.
Registration is currently open for the summer terms. Additional information is available by contacting the college's Admissions Office.
