FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg is coordinating a travel abroad opportunity this summer from Rome to Athens.
The trip is open to area residents, and college faculty, staff, and students. It includes round trip airfare, eight overnight stays in hotels (12 nights including an optional cruise), daily complete European breakfast and dinner, a full-time bilingual tour director, eight sightseeing tours led by licensed local guides, and 11 visits to special attractions. Tips, souvenirs, and daily lunches are not included. The rates are well below the typical market value for such an excursion.
An optional island cruise extension is also available to the Adriatic and Aegean seas and exotic ports of call, including the Greek islands of Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes, Heraklion, Santorini, and Kusadasi, Turkey.
Scholarships are available to students who qualify. Inquiries regarding the scholarships should be directed to the college's Financial Aid Office. Individuals interested in earning college credit can enroll for three hours of college credit at either an upper or lower division level.
An information meeting about the trip will be held at 5 p.m., Friday (Feb. 11), in Room 2201 at WVU Parkersburg. Registration deadline to join the trip is quickly approaching and space is limited. Additional information is available by contacting trip coordinator Gregg Busch at the college, 424-8000.
