WVU Parkersburg Sigma Beta Delta welcomes new members

Six WVU Parkersburg students inducted into business honorary Sigma Beta Delta.

Six West Virginia University at Parkersburg students are new members of the college's business honorary Sigma Beta Delta.

The students were inducted into the national honorary society during an initiation ceremony held on campus. New members include Cynthia Lynn Allen, Mamye Kay Dunn, Rose Etta Kozak, Greg Osburn, Chad Sullivan and Paul A. Welch.

Chapter President Sy Sarkarat, chair of the college's Business and Economics Division, welcomed the new members and Bob McCoy, chapter vice president and professor of business, conducted the initiation ceremony. The student inductees received certificates, pins and honor cords.

Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society is a national business honorary society for students in business, management, and administration. The honorary is open to college students who represent the top 15% of their class and are recommended by their academic advisor. It seeks to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business, management and administration, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service.
