WVU Parkersburg hosting one-day conference on network security Nov. 10, 2006.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will host a one-day conference on computer network security Friday (Nov. 10).

Being held in partnership with Thomson Learning, the 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. conference will meet in the Caperton Center for Applied Technology.

Speakers will include Michael E. Whitman, professor of information systems in the Computer Science and Information Systems department at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, and Herbert J. Mattord who teaches courses in information security, data communications, local area networks, database technology, project management and systems analysis/design at Kennesaw.

There is no conference fee but advanced registration is requested.  Additional information is available by contacting Doug Weaver, assistant professor of computer science, and coordinator, Computer & Information Technology program, 424-8330.
