FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWest Virginia University at Parkersburg's Student Services Division is hosting a seminar Saturday (Feb. 18) by the author of the book "College - Why Should You Pay For It? I Didn't."
The free seminar, to be held from 1 to 2 p.m. in Room 1305, will be conducted by Charles J. Phillips, an engineer at DuPont who also teaches and tutors part-time at WVU Parkersburg. He wrote the book as a guide for students to pursue options to make college affordable. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Phillips actually exceeded the amount required for his college education through the scholarships he earned.
The seminar is open to the public. Additional information is available by contacting the college's Student Services office, 424-8209.
