December 2007 Commencement

West Virginia University at Parkersburg's December Commencement is tonight (Friday, Dec. 14) in the College Activities Center.

The ceremonies begin at 7 p.m. Approximately 240 WVU Parkersburg students are candidates for graduation. Close to 100 are expected to take part in the ceremonies.

Commencement speaker is Jeannette Walls, the best-selling author of "The Glass Castle" and a former West Virginia resident.

Tickets are required to attend the ceremonies. Participating graduates were given tickets in advance. A reception for the graduates and their families will follow in the cafeteria concourse.
