WVU Parkersburg inducts 48 students into national honors society.

Forty-eight new members have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa chapter at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Phi Theta Kappa is the national honors society for two-year colleges.

Induction ceremonies were held at WVU Parkersburg and its Jackson County Center in Ripley.  Faculty members Phil and Denise McClung were guest speakers on the Parkersburg campus and discussed a new environmental program they have initiated.  PTK student co-president Kelly Hill spoke on the "power of self" during the induction ceremony at the JCC campus. 

Students inducted into PTK included:  WVU Parkersburg - Patrick Collins, Rose Mary Knight, Michelle Patrice Dick, Marie Butler, Tammy Abbott, Patty Ralston, Kimberly Boggs, Michelle Bosley, Christopher A. Stewart, Donna Spader, Katrina Wilson, Tara DeBarr, Sonia Smith, and Richard Deem; Rick Chichester, Scott Chichester, Joseph Scott DiVincenzo, Elizabeth Farrell, Nicole Keller, Edward Lockard, Lori Long, Natalie Roberts, Teri Adams, Ami Axley, Mika Bostaph, Emily Bradley, Timothy Cronin, Amanda Dobbins, Teresa Giffin, Deborah Hewitt, Daniel Hill, Cody Jackson, Mary Lott, Joseph Lantz, Kenneth Kay, Katie Petrush, Eric Raper, Rhonda Ray, Donna Spader, Kayla Turk and Tina Wheeler; Jackson County Center - Andrew VanTassel, Julie Southall, David Holub, JoAnn Norman, Gina Faber, Cris Claypool, and Jillian Wedge.
