FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThe West Virginia Association of College English Teachers will hold its fall conference Sept. 26-27 at North Bend State Park.
The two-day conference is hosted by West Virginia University at Parkersburg's English Department. Registration will be held from 6-7 p.m., Sept. 26.
During the meeting, several papers will be presented on literary topics as well as pedagogy. Participants will also have an opportunity to share their creative expressions. A roundtable discussion, to be held Sept. 27, will focus on methods for teaching creative writing as a course or component of a course, in addition to strategies for encouraging students’ creative expression beyond the classroom setting.
