WVU Parkersburg forensics team captures individual honors.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg forensics students took home several honors at the 59th annual Ruth Wilcox Invitational tournament held recently at Marietta College.

Britt Huffman of Parkersburg captured first place honors in Programmed Oral Interpretation. Sarah Breeden and Jon Corra, both of Parkersburg, received third place honors in Dramatic Duo Interpretation. Corra also received third place honors in After Dinner Speaking. Bridget Smith of Parkersburg was recognized for third place in Persuasion and Prose.

Other members of the forensics team included Parkersburg students Larry Casey, Monica Rader, Shane Windland and Rebecca McClung. WVU Parkersburg's team is coached by faculty member Vicki Crooks.

Other colleges participating in the tourney in addition to WVU Parkersburg and Marietta College included Alderson-Broaddus College, Fairmont State University, Geneva College, Heidelberg College, Hillsdale College, Malone College, Muskingum College and Notre Dame University.
