WVU Parkersburg associate dean named to national community college teacher education association.

The associate dean of academic affairs at West Virginia University at Parkersburg is a newly elected member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs.

Cynthia Kelley was elected to a two-year term as a member at large on the NACCTEP Board of Directors.  The association promotes the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention and renewal of diverse preK-12 teachers and advances quality teacher education programs in the community college.  The NACCTEP serves as an affiliate council with the American Association of Community Colleges.

Dr. Kelley is a professor of education and serves as the chair of WVU Parkersburg's Education Division.  She was recently named the first WVU Parkersburg faculty member to be selected as an American Council on Education Fellow, one of 36 ACE Fellows in the country.
