| A West Virginia University at Parkersburg faculty member garnered second place honors in the West Virginia Professor of the Year annual award program. Psychology Professor Phil McClung was one of five finalists in the program sponsored by the Faculty Merit Foundation of West Virginia. He was honored as the runner-up in the program Tuesday (March 4) at a reception and dinner held in Charleston. McClung received a $1,000 award and a plaque. This marks the second consecutive year that he has joined the ranks of the state's elite college professors as a program finalist. He is shown at the banquet with WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage. Montserrat Miller, an associate professor of history at Marshall University, was selected as the state's outstanding faculty member for the year. |
