WVU Parkersburg student organization sponsoring Harlem Rockets' appearance.

A team of community leaders will take on the Harlem Rockets Comedy Basketball Team Sunday, March 28, at the Parkersburg High School Field House.

 

The 2 p.m. game is sponsored by West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Criminal Justice Organization.  Proceeds from the game will benefit CJO programs and activities.  Prior to the Parkersburg All Stars' featured event, a wheelchair basketball game will feature the Wheelers and CJO student members.

 

Advance tickets are $8.  At the door, tickets are $10; children under five will be admitted free.  Tickets may be obtained by contacting CJO faculty advisor Louis Roy at the college, 304-424-8253. 

 

Since 1992, the New York-based Harlem Rockets Team has entertained fans of all ages with a unique combination of dazzling basketball skills, zany comedy and audience participation. Members are talented former college and professional basketball players who specialize in amazing shots and good-willed camaraderie on the court.
