 WVU Parkersburg to host presentation on "The Future of the Middle East: Hope and Reality."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

West Virginia University at Parkersburg will host a March 10th presentation on "The Future of the Middle East: Hope and Reality."

Featured will be Dr. Peter Moore, associate professor of political science at Case Western Reserve University.

The  7:15 p.m. presentation will be held in Room 1305 and a question-and-answer session will follow Moore's talk.  The program is free and open to the public.

Dr. Moore holds a bachelor of arts degree from the Virginia Military Institute, a master's degree from the University of Virginia, and a doctorate  from McGill University in Montreal. Presently, he serves on the Editorial Board of the Middle East Report and has researched and published widely in the fields of economic development, state-society relations, sub-state conflict and regional security in the Middle East.

This program is part of a special Focus on the Middle East series of events co-hosted by WVU Parkersburg's Office for Global Initiatives, the Humanities Speakers Series, the Social Sciences and Languages Division, and the Social Justice Committee.
