FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWest Virginia University at Parkersburg recognized its faculty and professional staff for their service to the institution at an employee recognition brunch held Wednesday (May 5).
Marie Foster Gnage, WVU Parkersburg president, and Joe Campbell, chair of the WVU Parkersburg Board of Governors presented the service awards. Recipients included: Five Years of Service - Robert Anderson, Lisa Flowers-Clements, Tom Lemon, Ronald Reip, Mary Beth Busch, Karen Hanner, Tess Martin, Vanora Sams, David Thompson, Aaron Crites, Donald Lemon, Kevin Offenberger and John Tharp. Ten Years of Service - Charles Almond, Marilyn Love, Rebecca Scarberry, Lauriel Edwards, Judy McCullough, Leslie Sims, Vickie Yencha, Jeff Holland, Vince Plummer and Michele Wilson. Fifteen Years of Service - Jane King and Cheryl Robinson. Twenty Years of Service - Larry Keaton, Alita Sellers and Vicky Stilgenbauer. Twenty-Five Years of Service - Violet Mosser and Thomas Yencha. Thirty Years of Service - Sherron Barnett and Ernest Grady. Thirty-Five Years of Service - Margaret Bailey, H. Allen Edwards, Debbie Richards, Stanley Coberly, Phil McClung, H.G. Young, Thomas Dinnin and Lennie Moore.
Adjunct Faculty Service awards: Five Years of Service - Katrina Andrews, Dean Fisher, Gary Smith, Greg Boso, Natalie Harvey, Allen Thacker, Shawn Weaver, Jeanne Elser, Brandy Marlow and Karen Weaver; Ten Years of Service - Marla James, Kenneth Krimmel and Vincent Post; Fifteen Years of Service - Rose Ann Bullman; Twenty Years of Service - Robert Newell; and Twenty-Five Years of Service - David Keefer.
Also recognized were faculty and staff retirees, including Less Bennett, 35 years of service; Linda Cutright, 29 years; Karen Branham, 17 years; Bill Andrews, 32 years; Ernest Grady, 30 years, Lew Rutherford, 35 years, and Gary Waggoner, 37 years.In addition, Staff Council named Patsy Bee employee of the year and the Student Government Association honored H.G. Young and Pamela Santer, respectively, as faculty and staff of the year.cd05/06/10
