WVU Parkersburg Riverhawks to host first annual Border Battles' Basketball

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg will host the first annual Border
Battles' Basketball Tournament to be held Saturday (Jan. 22) at the Parkersburg
High School Memorial Fieldhouse featuring teams from West Virginia and Ohio.
Participating
will be club sports and junior varsity teams from Hocking College, Ohio Valley
University, Washington State Community College, and WVU Parkersburg.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with the tipoff games at 10 a.m. featuring OVU versus
WVU Parkersburg in the main gym and Washington State versus Hocking College in
Jack Stephens Gym. The 12:30 p.m.
consolation game will include the loser of the WV game versus the loser of the Ohio game.
The championship game will be held at 3 p.m. featuring the winners of the
WV/Ohio contests.
Admission
is free for college students with a student ID.
Adult admission is $4 for the entire day of games.
