CONTACT: Anthony Underwood, vice president for student services, 304-424-8209.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Virginia University at Parkersburg is waiving the graduation fee for
students eligible to graduate in May 2011.
In celebration of the college’s 50th anniversary, the $25 graduation fee is
being waived for the Spring 2011 semester.
“This is a way for WVU Parkersburg to encourage qualified students to apply for
graduation in the college’s 50th year of providing higher education
opportunities,” Anthony Underwood, vice president for student services, noted.
Students who have already paid the fee will receive a refund or have the funds
applied toward any outstanding account balances, Underwood added.
As a result of the fee waiver, the deadline to apply to graduate has been moved
to March 4 from Feb. 18. Students should contact the college’s Records Office to
submit an application for graduation.
Spring Commencement is Saturday, May 14.
