Governor appoints Jamie Six to Board of Governors.

WV Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has announced the
appointment of James “Jamie” Six to the Board of Governors at West Virginia
University at Parkersburg.
The appointment was effective Feb. 2, 2011. Six is currently serving his 25th year as the Wood County Clerk.
“Jamie will be an excellent addition to the Board of Governors at WVU Parkersburg,” said Gov. Tomblin. “One of Jamie’s children currently attends the University. As a community leader and also as a parent, he has a vested interest in the future of the University and its programs.”
Six’s community relationships include serving on the West Virginia Association of Counties' Board of Directors, and the Wood County Farm Bureau Board of Directors as well as being an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Parkersburg.
Six attended WVU Parkersburg when it was Parkersburg Community College.
A native of Vienna, Six
currently resides in Parkersburg with his wife, Ginger. The couple has two
children: Chelsie, a WVU College of Law graduate, and Cory, a WVU
Parkersburg criminal justice major.
