Wendy’s donates $11,000 to WVU Parkersburg for scholarship fund CONTACT: Dave White, director of facilities, 304-424-8225 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Local Wendy's franchise owners Ray and Kim Blackburn presented the WVU at Parkersburg Foundation with a check for $11,000 today to continue development of their Wendy's Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to WVU Parkersburg students who were adopted or part of the foster care system. The funds raised for the scholarship come from the sale of Frosty key tags at Wendy's locations across the region. Once purchased, the $3 tag can be presented at any participating Wendy's to receive free junior Frosty for each purchase. Limit is one free frosty per transaction per visit, with any purchase. “We are so grateful to Ray and Kim Blackburn for providing this opportunity to help students in need,” said Kim Jones, executive director of WVU at Parkersburg Foundation. “The Frosty key tag program gives people the chance to enjoy a nice treat while helping students at the same time.” ![]() Ray and Kim Blackburn present a check for $11,000 to WVU at Parkersburg Foundation Executive Director Kim Jones, WVU Parkersburg President Marie Foster Gnage and WVU at Parkersburg Board President Linda Dickirson.
