West Virginia's First Lady Joanne Tomblin to visit

West Virginia First Lady Joanne Tomblin will visit West Virginia University at Parkersburg on Monday (Feb. 21).
Mrs. Tomblin, who is also president of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, is on a five-week tour of the state's Community and Technical College system institutions as part of an initiative to increase the number of college students' completing degrees.
At 10:30 a.m., Monday (Feb. 21), she will tour WVU Parkersburg's Jackson County Center in Ripley.
Following a presentation at the Parkersburg Rotary Club meeting at noon, she will meet with WVU Parkersburg college administrative staff and Board of Governors' members at 1:30 p.m. on campus. A brief program will be held and will include the signing of the College Completion Challenge. WVCTC Chancellor Jim Skidmore will also be participating.
Mrs. Tomblin is visiting all 10 of the state's community colleges as part of the college completion initiative.
