Below is information about how WVU Parkersburg communicates campus delays or closings due to inclement weather or other situations.
For day classes, the decision regarding delays/cancellations/closings is usually made by 6 a.m. by the College President.
For evening classes, the decision regarding delays/cancellations/closings is usually made by 3 p.m. by the College President.

Text Message Service
WVU Parkersburg students can take advantage of a free text message service that is available through WTAP-TV to the general public. WTAP's alert service sends a a text message to those who have subscribed to the Organization Closing Alerts for WVU Parkersburg. Information regarding how to sign up for the service is available here. The service is free but message and data rates may apply. Note: The text message service is offered by WTAP-TV.
