You Can "Go to 4"!

Are you a student or a graduate at one of West Virginia's community and technical colleges?  Are you interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree?  Then, West Virginia University at Parkersburg has an exciting new program designed for you:   "Go to 4."

WVU Parkersburg has agreements with each of the state’s public community colleges to provide four-year degree opportunities for students in the WV Community and Technical College System.

If you have completed a two-year associate degree program, you are eligible to apply for four targeted baccalaureate degrees offered by WVU Parkersburg.

Bachelor’s degrees in the “Go to 4” program include:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration - a workforce baccalaureate designed primarily for Associate in Applied Science degree holders desiring career advancement and/or advance technical training in business-related fields.

  • Bachelor of Applied Technology - a technical workforce degree designed for AAS or Associate of Science degree holders desiring career advancement in technology-related fields.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education - a professional degree designed primarily for Associate of Arts degree holders who wish to enter the teaching field in elementary education.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Multi-Disciplinary Studies - a professional degree designed for A.A. degree holders who wish to construct a degree program that is comprised of three minors from communications, fine arts, business, chemistry, history, biology or psychology.

WVU Parkersburg is developing articulations with each of the state’s community colleges.  These agreements will outline programs of study to articulate academic credit for the targeted bachelor’s degree programs; develop seamless pathways for transferring students between their community college and WVU Parkersburg’s bachelor’s programs, and process credit for general education taken as part of A.A., A.S. or AAS degrees toward the general education requirements of the baccalaureate degree.
