Positive
Tone:
An old college professor once recommended: "When writing, try to tell the reader to go to hell in such a way that he looks forward to the trip." Okay, that's pretty optimistic, but if your writing swells with positive attitude, you will have achieved that goal! Writing in a positive and professional tone is essential for business. Your objective should be to never offend anyone who might potentially read what you have written on behalf of your company. While every issue you write about will not necessarily be completely upbeat and enthusiastic, each can achieve a positive tone that will not be offensive to your reader. This is an art. Practice re-writing your sentences so that the most positive tone can be achieved. As you read the newspaper or other materials, edit the sentences and try to make them more positive.
