What: West Virginia University at Parkersburg's Student Government Association is hosting its first-ever Student Leadership Conference. The all-day event will feature guest speakers Keith Burdette and Morris Morrison. (See bios below.)

Who: Open to high school and college students

Keith Burdette
West Virginia Department of Commerce secretary Keith Burdette began his public service when he was elected to the first of two terms in the West Virginia House of Delegates. In 1982 he was elected to the West Virginia State Senate. In 1989 he was elected the 42nd President of the State Senate at the age of 34, the youngest Senate President in the state’s history.

The West Virginia Jaycees named him their Outstanding Young West Virginian in 1991 and in 1992 the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce named him one of Ten Outstanding Young Americans for that year.
Morris Morrison
