RBA Portfolio Process

“What a student knows is more important than how they learned it.” This is the central principle underlying assessment of work/life experiences. If an RBA student can demonstrate their existing knowledge and skills are reasonably comparable to those of college-trained students, then comparable credit is awarded. Students develop a portfolio, which includes identified college courses, a verification section and narrative explaining their experiences. Portfolios are evaluated by the University faculty who make recommendations concerning the award of college equivalent credit.

For those seeking college equivalent credit there is an initial $300 assessment fee (regardless of the number of credit hours requested) and an additional $10 per credit hour fee for credits actually awarded and posted to the transcript.
