RBA Program Requirements
RBA Program Requirements
RBA students must fulfill the following requirements:
Total Credit hours: 128
Cumulative GPA: 2.00 (on a 4-point scale)
The minimum hours in each of the following three areas:General Education: 36 Hours
6 Communication Skills
May be chosen from ENGL 101, 102, 107, 108, SPCH 111 or 112, GBUS 202
6 Humanities
May be chosen from any fine arts appreciation (not performance) course, general education literature, foreign language or JOUR 101.
6 Social Sciences
May be chosen from geography, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, or sociology.
6 Natural or Physical Sciences
May be chosen from any science course *including ENVR 102 or 310
3 Mathematical Sciences
May be chosen from MATH 022, 107, 108, 111, 112, or higher, CS 101 or higher, GBUS 117.
9 “Other’’
May be chosen from any of the above areas.Upper-Division Hours:
A minimum of 40 hours must be completed. May be selected from any course numbered 300 or higher.
Remaining Hours:
52 hours of College Level Coursework: Students may satisfy this requirement through traditional college courses, standardized exams, institutional-based challenge exams, licensure/certification/formal training programs covering by state standardized awards, military training assessed by ACE, and portfolio review.
Residency:
24 hours of regular coursework: Students are permitted to use on campus or online courses taken at any regionally accredited institution in the state to meet this residency requirement. Note: Neither portfolio credit nor credit by exam may be used to meet the residency requirement.
