Learn and Earn Program
West Virginia University at Parkersburg offers students the opportunity to gain paid work experience while completing their associate in Business Administration through a state-funded program called Learn and Earn.
The Learn and Earn program is sponsored by the West Virginia Community and Technical College System, and is part of the Workforce Development Initiative Program. It is an opportunity to create partnerships between industry and community and technical colleges by allowing students hands-on learning experience, and employers to train ideal future employees.

Associate of Science in Business Administration
The Associate of Science in Business Administration gives students a background in business core competencies and prepares them for admission to our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or to transfer to another institution for a business program.
Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration
The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration gives students a strong background in business skills and competencies. Upon completing this degree, students are ready to enter the workforce in entry-level positions or continue their education toward our Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration. The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration is not designed as a transfer degree. For students interested in transferring to another institution for a bachelor degree, it is recommended to pursue the Associate of Science in Business Administration.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
Our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting provides a theoretical basis in the functional areas of business including accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing. The degree includes more emphasis on quantitative analysis and production and operations management. Business law, ethics and diversity provide a background for a Master of Business Administration or CPA preparation.
Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Financial Management
Our Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Financial Management prepares graduates for working in a private or public accounting firm or government accounting office. Financial managers are responsible for the financial health of an organization. They produce financial statements and reports, direct investment activities and develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of their organization.

Our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in General Business prepares students seeking a solid foundation in the managerial knowledge and skills needed to become high-performing managers, change agents, consultants or entrepreneurs in profit and non-profit organizations. With 22 additional hours of coursework, you will be able to sit for the WV CPA exam.
Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Marketing
Our Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Marketing gives students a strong background in management and marketing. Graduates will be prepared to enter government, retail, food service and other business environments. Management is concerned with running the internal operations of a firm and external operations by identifying customers, product placement, product pricing and more.
