Overview
Electricity & Instrumentation Degree
The electricity and instrumentation field is an ever-changing and continuously growing area. As technology changes and improves, highly trained electrical maintenance technicians are an important asset for every industrial, commercial and office facility. Nationwide, job growth in the field is predicted to be one of the highest of all areas.
The Certificate of Applied Science in Electricity and Instrumentation includes, but is not limited to, electrical theory, the national electrical code, bending and installation of conduit, tubing and piping, various types of mechanical and electrical drawings, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics, process control instrumentation, and programmable logic controllers, as well as troubleshooting skills in all areas.
This program is designed to combine with the Certificate of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance degree to obtain the Associate of Applied Science in Multi-Craft Technology. Consider continuing your education with the industrial maintenance certificate. With those 30 credit hours, you can obtain the associate-level multi-craft technology degree and have a broader skill set to further your career.

Certificate of Applied Science in Electricity & Instrumentation
This program prepares graduates for positions as technicians that install, service, repair and maintain electrical equipment in today’s modern industrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities. Students in this program receive the skills necessary to work with high voltage, 3 phase, commercial electrical equipment.
Associate of Applied Science in Multi-Craft Technology
This program prepares graduates for positions as technicians that install, service, repair and maintain equipment in today’s modern industrial, commercial and/or manufacturing facilities. Courses include preventive maintenance, system design, and troubleshooting concepts that integrate practical application and knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
