Helping Hands, Warm Hearts Winter Accessories Drive and Resource Fair
Students and members of the community can register their children for Toys for Tots, speak with Department of Health and Human Resources regarding LIEAP, learn about the Salvation Army’s clothing vouchers, bus passes and food pantry and hear from the Eastwood Fire Department about fire safety and prevention. Come donate winter accessories such as scarves, gloves, socks, toboggans, boots, etc. For more information contact krober14@wvup.edu

Troops Week at WVU Parkersburg Nov. 11 – Nov 15. 2024
Monday Nov. 11 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Free coffee and donuts for student, faculty and staff veterans. 12:30 p.m. - WVU Parkersburg Art Club, Veterans Corps and the campus community are invited to gather at the Poorhouse Cemetery to honor interred veterans. An American flag will be placed on each veteran grave followed by a moment of silence. 3:00 p.m. - Veterans Day ceremony will commence with a Wreath Laying ceremony by Blennerhassett Chapter, NSDAR with guest speaker Melody Zimmerman, and the Marine Corps League Detachment #1087 Color Guard. Coats4Kids Drive
The Education Alliance will have a collection site for the Coats4Kids drive on campus from Nov. 13 to Jan. 20. They will be collecting new or gently used winter items of ANY size. Examples of items include: coats, hats, hoodies, scarfs, gloves and more! All of the items will be donated to a local organization. The drop off location will be in the Success Epicenter near the front desk.
