Helping Hands, Warm Hearts Winter Accessories Drive and Resource Fair

Toys For Tots Drive
WVU Parkersburg 300 Campus Dr, Parkersburg, WV 26104, Parkersburg, WV, United StatesThe Tutoring Center (Room 1123) is accepting donations for Toys for Tots starting Saturday, Nov. 2 to Friday, Dec. 13. Donations must be new, unwrapped and dropped off between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Toys will go to children in Wood, Wirt, Washington and Jackson Counties. Troops Week at WVU Parkersburg Nov. 11 – Nov 15. 2024
Monday Nov. 11 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Free coffee and donuts for student, faculty and staff veterans. 12:30 p.m. - WVU Parkersburg Art Club, Veterans Corps and the campus community are invited to gather at the Poorhouse Cemetery to honor interred veterans. An American flag will be placed on each veteran grave followed by a moment of silence. 3:00 p.m. - Veterans Day ceremony will commence with a Wreath Laying ceremony by Blennerhassett Chapter, NSDAR with guest speaker Melody Zimmerman, and the Marine Corps League Detachment #1087 Color Guard.
